Our story

Hello I am Kay Parkinson-Featherstone, Founder of yello-w

I have spent my career chasing the satisfaction that big brands, great work and big budgets bring.

However, whilst I have always enjoyed my work, I have found that the most rewarding part of any leadership role I’ve held has been the the ability to enable individuals and teams to grow too with the business. This is what I am passionate about and what I have always loved.

Supporting others to have that ‘lightbulb moment’ and to see opportunity where it maybe wasn’t necessarily clear before.

To know when listening and asking the right question can bring enough power to change a person’s perspective. Have an impact and create alignment.

As a ‘creative type’ on the insights © profiles, I combine that all important big picture perspective with inquisitive questioning.

I prefer the use of creative tools and adapting my style, by client, to make my coaching sessions unique and to be delivered with impact.

Optimising experience

With a career in Brand Strategy, communications and behaviour change. The key factors such as knowing your audience, understanding people, barriers and the root cause of challenges, is just as important in strategic consultancy as coaching.

I have created the Multiple Mindset which is a tool for both coaching and consultancy. The Blue Horizon Diagnostic uses this as a base too.

My brand matters too. In the formation of yello-w, the connecting of the dots from our ‘o’ to ‘w’ matters and represents when tackling challenges to understand the value in connection.

Yellow – written in blue – highlights unconscious bias which is an area to overcome by a better understanding of limiting beliefs and established behaviours. That could be getting in the way of delivering alignment for your organisation and having an impact.
